Provide one-on-one support to youth with mental health challenges or medical needs in their homes and community. Enhance the family's ability to support the youth's functional, developmental, and behavioral health needs.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience working with children or youth. Good English communication skills and a valid driver's license are preferred.
Ohel is looking for Respite Counselors who are creative, dedicated, and responsible to work one-on-one with youth who have mental health challenges or who are medically fragile and live at home in the community. Respite focuses on short-term assistance provided to youth, to enhance the family’s ability to support the youth’s functional, developmental, behavioral health, and/or health care needs.
Valid NY or NJ Driver’s license preferred. Good English communication skills a must. Flexible part time, after school hours. Locations include Brooklyn, Queens, Far Rockaway and Long Island.
$19.00-$22.00 per hour
