Requirements summary
Must hold a valid Physical Therapy license in Montana or be eligible for temporary licensure. Requires graduation from an approved Physical Therapy program and current BCLS certification.

Responsible for performing an age and diagnosis specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient’s/resident’s/client’s individual needs.
Utilizes exercise, soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, manual therapy techniques, equipment and physical and electrical modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motions, and to decrease pain to restore mobility and function.
Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/client and family/caregiver and other members of the health care team.
Delegates as necessary aspects of care to the PTA or Rehabilitation aide based on their job descriptions.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.

Education/License/Experience Requirements: Physical Therapy Licensure, in Montana Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a DPT, Master’s degree, or BA degree in Physical Therapy or certification in Physical Therapy Current BCLS certification.
