The Physician Assistant will assist orthopedic surgeons in both clinic and surgical settings, including conducting examinations and developing treatment plans. Responsibilities also include performing in-clinic procedures, pre-operative assessments, and participating in hospital rounds.
Qualified candidates must be available for an 8a-5p schedule and participate in weekend phone on-call coverage. The role requires a licensed Physician Assistant capable of working both independently and collaboratively within an orthopedic group.
Assisting the orthopedic surgeons in the clinic setting, conducting new and existing patient orthopedic examinations, developing treatment plans, adjusting and prescribing medications, performing in-clinic procedures, conducting pre-operative assessments, explaining the surgical procedure to the patient, assisting the orthopedic surgeon in the OR on an as needed basis, and conducting hospital rounds.
