The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delegating care, and evaluating patient responses to treatment. They are accountable for the outcomes of patient care delivered during their assigned shift.
Candidates must be graduates of a state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure. BLS certification is required by the end of orientation, and ACLS certification is required within one year of hire.
Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
Education: Graduate of State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
