• Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is seeking an Acute Care Surgicalist to join our highly experienced team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
• The Opportunity: Step into a high-functioning Acute Care Surgery team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where you’ll practice the full breadth of emergency general surgery in a setting that balances complexity, autonomy, and true schedule flexibility.
• Our surgeons manage everything from pediatric and thoracic emergencies to major trauma, backed by a robust blood bank and reliable 24/7 in-house support services.
• You’ll have the opportunity to perform a wide range of cases while benefiting from a practice model that allows you to fully sign out when your shift ends, giving you the freedom to enjoy everything Alaska has to offer outside of work.
• Compensation & Benefits: $3,700/24hr shift. $65k sign-on bonus.

Schedule

• 120 shifts per year (10 shifts/month). Live wherever you’d like and join us for your 10-day block if you prefer. Hospital housing is provided, but travel is the provider's expense.

• Practice: Phone call with 30-minute response time during shifts. Consults from urgent care, emergency department, and inpatient services. Emergency and urgent surgery. Emergency endoscopy. Inpatient rounding and day-to-day management of admitted patients. Follow-up care and consults in the outpatient clinic.
