These services include the only Regional Burn Center and Level I Trauma Center in West Michigan.
Butterworth Hospital is a clinical leader in cardiovascular, cancer, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, neurosciences, trauma and emergency care services, among many others.
Corewell Health™ announced conceptual plans to expand the Butterworth Hospital campus with the addition of a new 621,000 square-foot facility that would increase access to care, including the construction of a new emergency department, 180 private beds and 12 to 16 operating rooms. https://www.spectrumhealth.org/locations/butterworth-hospital Scope of Work As a Respiratory Therapist with Corewell Health, you can help patients breathe more easily and live life more comfortably.
You'll collaborate with a highly skilled clinical team to help diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions that affect the lungs and breathing in people of all ages.
Performs evaluation to determine respiratory care needs, and makes appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines.
Assesses effectiveness of treatment and accurately documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
Performs point of care testing as required.
Performs advanced evaluation, management and therapeutic procedures (interventions) for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
Assesses effectiveness of intervention and accurately documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
Completes and documents required education and competencies within designated timeframe.
Maintains competency in areas of accountability.
Accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and billing.
Facilitates a smooth transition for the patient to appropriate referral services / the next point of service / home and provides education to patients and families as it relates to respiratory issues.
Instructs and trains other respiratory care staff, nursing and other medical personnel and students regarding patient needs and respiratory care services.
