The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses by performing exercises and therapeutic techniques. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, educating patients and families, and maintaining treatment equipment.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and a current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Ohio. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively communicate patient information.

The Challenge (Job Summary)
As a physical therapy assistant, you have the opportunity to live our core values every day by helping our patients in all walks of life, providing high quality care, working with an excellent team, being a trusted resource for our patients and team members, and having an impact in the community through our engagement and volunteer efforts. In addition, the ideal candidate will work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists. PTA will help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain.

Physical Therapist Assistants may spend a lot of time on their feet while working with patients. May be required to lift and move patients or heavy equipment. Many work in multiple facilities and have to travel from one job to another. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 10 pounds.
