MRI technologists utilize resonant frequency properties of atoms to image anatomic and physiologic conditions for disease diagnosis. They perform diagnostic examinations under the guidance of a Radiologist while providing patient care to all age groups.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or a JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training program. Applicants are required to be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography and hold BLS certification.
Overview This position is a PRN position on an as needed basis.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R). ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS certified. Business
