Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care and support functions that contribute to exceptional therapy outcomes. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA delivers therapeutic interventions, performs administrative tasks, and promotes a positive and safe environment aligned with facility standards.

Essential Job Functions

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver appropriate, individualized treatment plans as directed by a Physical Therapist.

• Provide clear guidance and instruction to patients and families.

• Communicate patient progress, issues, and care plans with supervisors and healthcare team members.

Documentation

1. Accurately record treatment charges consistent with billing practices. 2. Write clear and effective daily treatment notes and progress reports.

Administrative Support

1. Log accurate daily productivity and treatment charges. 2. Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient therapy appointments.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration
