The Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct patient care and therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. They are responsible for documenting patient progress, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve therapy goals.
Candidates must hold an Associate of Science degree from an accredited PTA program and possess a valid California PTA license. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is also required.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care and support functions that contribute to exceptional therapy outcomes. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA delivers therapeutic interventions, performs administrative tasks, and promotes a positive and safe environment aligned with facility standards.
1. Accurately record treatment charges consistent with billing practices. 2. Write clear and effective daily treatment notes and progress reports.
1. Log accurate daily productivity and treatment charges. 2. Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient therapy appointments.
1. Utilize continuing education opportunities to meet regulatory requirements. 2. Participate in professional networking and development activities. 3. Present at team conferences and facility in-services. 4. Maintain current clinical knowledge. 5. Fulfill continuing education requirements from regulatory agencies.

Experience and Skills Needed
