The Pharmacy Technician works in complex pharmacy areas, including Sterile Product Compounding, Controlled Substance Handling, and Inventory Management.
Under the direction of a Pharmacist, provides technical assistance, processing and preparing medications and supplies.
Works with multiple medication automation systems.
Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas.
Triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.
Prepares supplies / medication under the direction of a Pharmacist.
Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging.
Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
