The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering respiratory therapies and executing clinical protocols to ensure safe and effective patient care. They also provide education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
Candidates must possess detailed knowledge of respiratory equipment, anatomy, physiology, and medications. The role requires the physical ability to lift 40 pounds, push 250 pounds, and maintain high levels of manual dexterity.
The Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (R) works under the supervision of leadership. The Respiratory Therapist (R) assumes responsibility for caring for and completing tasks that contribute to high quality, safe, and effective care. The therapist will execute protocols, administer respiratory therapies, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
