The Medical Assistant provides assistive services to support patient flow, information gathering, and clinical care. They also perform patient access duties such as check-in and appointment scheduling under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
Candidates must possess fine motor skills, the ability to handle medical terminology, and strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and the ability to work in a fast-paced, clinical environment.
The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) works under the supervision of leadership. The MA provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs patient access duties i.e. patient check in and appointment setting for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up. All medical tasks will be performed per the direction of the clinic nurse or Provider.
