The Medical Assistant provides assistive services to promote patient flow and care within a medical oncology clinic. Responsibilities include patient access duties such as check-ins, appointment setting, and performing medical tasks under provider supervision.
Candidates must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with strong fine motor skills and the ability to handle physical demands. Essential abilities include understanding medical terminology, prioritizing assignments, and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) works under the supervision of leadership. The MA provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs patient access duties i.e. patient check in and appointment setting for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up. All medical tasks will be performed per the direction of the clinic nurse or Provider.
