The dentist will provide comprehensive oral care to pediatric patients, including exams, diagnoses, and restorative procedures. They will also educate families on oral hygiene and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Candidates must hold a DDS or DMD degree and an active Idaho dental license. Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency or significant experience in pediatric care is preferred.
Provide comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients (infants, children, and adolescents) Perform exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning Deliver preventive and restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.) Perform pediatric dental procedures, including pulp therapy and extractions Administer or oversee nitrous oxide and/or general anesthesia as appropriate Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care Create a positive, comfortable, and engaging experience for children Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with all regulations
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school Completion of a Pediatric Dentistry residency (preferred) OR significant experience treating pediatric patients Active and unrestricted Idaho dental license (or ability to obtain) Nitrous oxide certification (required) Experience with sedation and pediatric behavior management techniques preferred Strong communication skills with both children and parents Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
