The base pay range for this position is $21.00-$31.50 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position
Overview: Perform daily activities of cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and processing instruments and equipment. Cross-trained to clean endoscopy scopes and acts as backup to the surgical aide.

Day in the
Life: Plans daily work assignments and prioritizes sterilization loads to maximize the use of the equipment and surgical instrumentation. Participates in daily report to learn daily workload and any special needs for the day. Communicates with the other members of the Surgical team to decide the most appropriate use of resources. Uses positive communication skills in daily activities. Attends staff meetings on a regular basis. Seeks to problem-solve on a one-to-one basis. Cleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes used reusable instruments and equipment. Process instruments and equipment using autoclave, Hydrogen Peroxide sterilizer, ultrasonic cleaner, and washer decontaminator. Prepares instruments trays for procedures according to card file. Maintains and updates current instruments sets on card file. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills required for the position in accordance with the competency checklist. Participate as a member of the healthcare team in support of the patient’s surgical experience, by providing sterile surgical instrumentation and supplies. Quality Monitors sterilizing equipment at specific intervals for proper machine functioning. Maintains logbook with necessary information for each sterilized load. About You!
