The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence following illness or surgery. They are also responsible for developing individualized treatment plans, managing patient pain, and educating families on safe home care practices.
Candidates must hold a degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, or Certificate) and possess a current state Physical Therapy license. A current BCLS (AHA) certification is also required upon hire.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assessing Patients: Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient’s condition and goals Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures) Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home
