The Physical Therapist will assess patient mobility and develop individualized treatment plans to improve function after illness, injury, or surgery. They are also responsible for providing pain management, educating patients and families, and supporting safe discharge planning.
Candidates must hold a degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, or Certificate) and possess a current state Physical Therapy license. A current BCLS (AHA) certificate is also required upon hire.
Overview We are seeking a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist (PT) will help patients regain mobility and function after illness, injury, or surgery through assessments, exercises, and early mobilization. They also assist with pain management, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions after hospitalization. Employment Type: Per Diem/ PRN Shifts Available: Days / Varied Hours: 8hr shifts – 8:00am to 4:00pm Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assessing Patients: Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient’s condition and goals Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures) Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home
