Job Summary Perform testing in an approved clinical laboratory technology training program under the supervision of an approved Clinical Laboratory Director. Testing restricted to the area of certification. Perform routine and emergency tests on blood and other body fluids using a variety of automated and manual instrumentation in a timely manner. Maintain equipment and records according to department procedures and regulatory guidelines in the areas of QA and QC. Use independent judgment to solve technical and procedural problems. Essential Functions Working under the supervision of an approved Clinical Laboratory Director in the area restricted by the Certificate. Perform routine and emergency tests on blood, serum, spinal fluid and other body fluids using automated and manual equipment, depending on procedure. Monitors specimens to ensure work is completed.
Perform within turnaround time criteria, and track incomplete samples in your area Review data prior to release. Work under the supervision of an approved Clinical Laboratory Director

Reported to appropriate individual or unit within IO minutes of verification. Maintains quality control data on tests performed, resolves QC failures and documents actions as stipulated by laboratory procedures
Completes task free of errors. Prepares reagents and takes inventory, and advises supervisor as required.
