The Peer Specialist provides education, support, and interventions to assist clients in their recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include case management, crisis intervention, group counseling, and maintaining accurate documentation for client services.
Candidates must hold a Peer Specialist Certification and a High School Diploma or GED. Personal life experience in mental health or substance use recovery and a willingness to disclose this experience are required.

Provide education, support, and interventions assisting in clients’ recovery from mental health and substance use disorder from a personal and educational perspective. Provide group and individual counseling, case management, advocacy, and outreach to clients, and families as appropriate.
