The CRNA will perform pre-anesthesia assessments, discuss anesthetic options with patients, and monitor their physiological condition during procedures. Responsibilities also include induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, along with performing clinical interventions as needed.
Candidates must have a current license as a registered professional nurse and graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. Certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is also required.
