Our home care team continues Cleveland Clinic's treatment at home.
We provide short term intermittent acute care at home.
Our nurses work autonomously meeting patients where they live.
This requires strong assessment skills and critical thinking.
We provide flexibility to the nurse and the patient when coordinating care within a team environment.
As an Admissions RN, you will educate and follow the patient through a short-term intermittent recovery process.
The skills needed to be successful in this role are below: Lab draws - peripheral sticks or central line draws Wound care - all types of wounds, measurements, documentation, wound vac experience IV - IV insertion, how to administer IV antibiotics, IV push medications, central line experience In this role you will support mainly the Eastern Cuyahoga county as well as Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties.
Cities included but are not limited to: East Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst, Mentor and others as needed Cleveland Clinic Home Care provides a generous in-depth orientation that is tailored to each individual and their experience level.
This position is eligible for student loan repayment.
Caregivers in this role will work from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
There are on call requirements, one per week.
In this role, you will be working one weekend a month and two holidays a year.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage with $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident coverage.
One year of current experience as an RN One year of experience in an acute Medical/Surgical or Home Care setting Knowledge of Home Care and the OASIS data set Competence in, but not limited to the following skills: Infusion therapy and venipuncture Diabetes management, glucometry Wound/ostomy care Urinary catheterization Enteral feeding Oxygen therapy Administration of injectable medication Left Ventricular Assistive Device.
