Candidates must hold a master's degree in social work or counseling psychology and be licensed or under supervision as an alcohol and drug counselor. Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning is required, along with a valid driver's license.
About this role
Women in Recovery (WIR) Therapist provides direct, gender-specific individual and group counseling, family and relationship counseling services within a day treatment format to participants; with emphasis on recovery from substance abuse, role-modeling, women only groups, trauma, health and wellness, parenting and family reunification. Therapist maintains and cultivates relationships with external agencies, such as court personnel, ancillary service providers, referring agencies, etc.
