The Medical Assistant performs direct patient care activities including lab tests, treatments, and medication administration under the direction of medical staff. They also manage clerical functions, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure the clinical environment is prepared for examinations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of relevant experience, along with appropriate certifications like BLS.

The Medical Assistant performs basic direct patient care activities, such as lab tests, treatments, and medication/immunization administration. These are performed under the direction of the Nurse and/or the physician in preparation for the patient's examination and treatment. The incumbent carries out clerical activities, quality control activities, performance improvement initiatives, etc. in support of the physician practice as assigned. This position also serves as a resource for the clerical/clinical staff in the practice.
