Performs various clinical laboratory procedures including blood bank, chemistry, and microbiology testing while maintaining equipment and quality control standards. Responsible for accurately reporting test results and serving as a technical resource for laboratory staff.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science field and at least one year of experience in an accredited clinical laboratory. Candidates must hold or be eligible for MT(ASCP) certification.
Performs Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Virology, and/or Genetics procedures in accordance with established procedures and policies. Records and reports results; operates and maintains equipment; monitors quality control standards; evaluates new instruments and tests. Performs clerical and service duties as required.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent related field of science (Required)
Minimum Work Experience 1 year experience in an accredited clinical laboratory (Required)
Statistics preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills important Knowledge and skills related to LIS desirable.
Required Licenses and Certifications Registry or eligible as MT(ASCP) (Required)
