The Electrophysiology Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures, including recording hemodynamic pressures and operating X-Ray equipment. They also assist interventional cardiologists during procedures while maintaining sterile technique and managing cardiac medications.
Candidates must have a degree from an accredited program in Radiology Technology or Cardiovascular Technology and at least one year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or EP Laboratory. Required certifications include ARRT, Florida CRT license, BLS, ACLS, and the ability to obtain RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months.

The Electrophysiology Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures in the Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP), including but not limited to: records hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operates special X-Ray equipment, burns c.d.’s, assists the invasive/interventional cardiologist with procedures using sterile technique and has knowledge of cardiac medications
