The GI Technician assists physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures and maintains a clean, safe environment by processing instruments and equipment. They also facilitate patient throughput, obtain vital signs, and manage department supplies and inventory.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, along with a Medical Assistant certification or one year of hospital experience. A Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is also required.
