The Pharmacy Intern supports pharmacists and clinical specialists in providing pharmacy services, including patient care rounds and medication management. Responsibilities also include drug preparation, distribution, and patient education under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Candidates must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college of pharmacy and hold a current pharmacy intern registration recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. A high school diploma or GED is the minimum educational requirement.
UC Health is hiring for a PRN Pharmacy Intern for the Inpatient Pharmacy Department at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center.
The Pharmacy Intern provides support to pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists, and pharmacy leadership in all aspects of providing pharmacy services. Functions performed under the supervision of a pharmacist include but are not limited to interdisciplinary patient care rounds, admission medication history, medication counseling and patient education, drug information, drug dosing, drug preparation, drug distribution, and medication administration as allowed by law.
