The Radiation Therapist implements treatment plans prescribed by oncologists using linear accelerators and ionizing radiation equipment. They are responsible for monitoring patient conditions, documenting reactions, and ensuring accurate positioning for therapeutic delivery.
Candidates must be graduates of a CAHEA-approved School of Radiation Therapy and hold current ARRT registration and state licensure. Proficiency in radiation oncology electronic medical records and Basic Life Support certification are required.
