The Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic evaluations and provides respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies. They administer medical gases, aerosolized medications, and manage ventilators while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program and possess a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. A State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license and BLS certification are also required.
