Caregivers provide essential support to veterans and the elderly by assisting with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation. They are also responsible for monitoring client health, reporting incidents, and maintaining a safe, clean living environment.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. While previous caregiving experience is preferred, it is not required, provided the applicant demonstrates compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.
The duties of this job include providing support to the elderly through assistance in ADL- These tasks include: grooming, light housekeeping, running errands and meal preparation.
