The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients according to physician orders and established guidelines. They manage patient care for an assigned group while reflecting the hospital's values of collaboration and communication.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a valid RN license in the State of Georgia. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, while a BSN degree and additional life support credentials are preferred.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.
REQUIRED Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). PREFERRED BSN degree Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
