The nurse will perform limited medical obstetrical ultrasounds, conduct pregnancy tests, and assist with patient assessments and education. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical documentation, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring safety and infection control protocols are followed.
Candidates must hold a current RN license and possess or be willing to obtain sonography training. A commitment to a pro-life mission and the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and Saturdays are required.
Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate patient flow Perform limited medical screening and pregnancy tests Perform limited obstetrical ultrasounds in accordance with delegated orders Complete initial patient assessments Assist with patient/family education and instruct patients as directed Maintain patient documentation according to clinic protocol Document and report test results Assist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test results Collect and run lab tests Incorporate principals of safety in all clinical operations Demonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient care Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry Pro-life in word and pro-love in action Possess and maintain current RN license Possess or be willing to obtain sonography training Comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus High level of confidentiality Experience working with volunteers a plus Commitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health issues Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products Ability to work a Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to include approximately two evenings per week, one Saturday per month, and PPC scheduled events Possess current Texas driver license, personal vehicle insurance and a clear driving record for clearance to drive PPC mobile unit as needed Willingness to serve at other PPC locations as needed Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs, and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. without assistance
