The Locum Gastroenterologist will diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders by performing procedures such as endoscopies and biopsies. They will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and ensure high-quality patient care.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and possess a valid medical license in Arizona. Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology is required, along with strong procedural skills in colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, and ERCP.

As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and participate in various medical procedures.
Conduct patient consultations and evaluate gastrointestinal health Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and biopsies Develop and implement treatment plans for patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care Educate patients about gastrointestinal health and disease prevention Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology Participate in ongoing medical education and training
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology Strong diagnostic and procedural skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Procedures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Evening and weekend call shifts required
Daily Volume: ~8 consults, ~10 procedures
Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, and ERCP
Support Staff: 2 APPs, anesthesia
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
