In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive care to patients with critical neurological conditions. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive timely and effective treatment, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical care settings Develop and implement individualized care plans Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results Administer treatments and medications as prescribed Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Requirements

Associate's degree in Nursing or a related field Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice Experience in critical care and neurology settings Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Knowledge of relevant medical procedures and protocols Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Level I Trauma

Schedule: 3x 13-hour shifts per week

Rotate days, nights, weekends, and holidays

9-bed Neurosciences Critical Care Unit, expanding to 12 beds

Duties

Patient history and physical exams, developing and executing diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting lab work, imaging, and physiological data, and procedures

Required Procedures: Central and arterial line placements

Team Structure: 5 neurointensivists and 10 APPs

Experience: 1+ years in critical care, ICU, or neurology

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
