As a Medication Technician on our Personal Care (PC) unit, you’ll play a key role in supporting our residents’ well-being. Rules: Meet all regulatory requirements set by the PA Department of Human Services, including timely completion of medication administration training and renewals.

Confidence: Take charge of the unit during your shift to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.

Quickly: Report any incidents or changes in a resident’s condition promptly to the PC Administrator or their designee.

Care: Complete incident and change-of-condition reports thoroughly and on time.

Stocked: Reorder medications, treatments, and nursing supplies as needed to ensure consistent care delivery.

Respond: Address resident and family concerns with empathy and professionalism and communicate issues to the PC Administrator for resolution.
Provide
Personal
Care: Assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) – including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting – following individual support plans.
Be
Emergency-Ready: Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or disaster situations.
Maintain
Privacy: Uphold strict confidentiality standards in line with HIPAA and all applicable privacy laws.
Follow the
Plan: Recognize each resident’s unique care needs and deliver services according to their individualized care plan.

QualificationsWhat

Age &
Readiness: Must be at least 18 years old to meet state licensing requirements.
Educational
Foundation: High school diploma or GED required to get started.
Certified &
Qualified: Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Medication Technician certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
Safety
First: Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Experienced
Caregiver: At least one year of hands-on experience as a Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Medication Technician is preferred.
