The Respiratory Therapist independently or in consultation with a physician administers medications and performs diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system. They also respond to emergency situations, manage life support systems, and maintain patient charts.
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a current State of Michigan license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC credentials, along with two years of clinical experience.
This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for and of the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems.
Certifications and Licensures
Degree in Healthcare Related Field. Required to maintain CEU's for license. Two (2) years clinical experience working in medical center or similar setting.
