The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients in an acute hospital setting to improve functional mobility and independence. They will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans and support safe discharge planning.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy and possess a current state certification or license. Additionally, a current BLS (AHA) certificate is required for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Evaluate and treat patients in an acute hospital setting to improve functional mobility, ADLs, safety, and independence Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medically complex adult and geriatric patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe and timely discharge planning Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use Document evaluations, progress, and discharge recommendations in the electronic medical record
