The Behavioral Health Specialist builds trusting relationships with clients to connect them to care and eliminate barriers to health services. They provide community outreach, support clients in crisis, and coordinate care plans while documenting all encounters.
Candidates should have experience in advocacy and capacity building, with proficiency in facilitation and motivational interviewing. Certification as a Community Health Worker or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is preferred.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) … This position is responsible for building trusting relationships with clients and connect those clients to care, eliminating barriers and advocating for system changes with a focus on the social determinants of health. This position will provide preventative community outreach and support clients experiencing behavioral health crisis in various community settings.
