The Medical Assistant provides clinical support by preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers during procedures, and documenting medical history and vital signs. They are also responsible for maintaining a sterile and safe environment, performing specimen collection, and educating patients according to provider instructions.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and either hold or be able to obtain a Medical Assistant certification. Proficiency in medical terminology, phlebotomy, and electronic medical records is required, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
