The Medical Assistant provides patient-centered care including preparing patients for exams, administering medications, and performing lab procedures. They are also responsible for sterilizing instruments, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality improvement activities.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a Medical Assistant program certificate, and BLS/CPR certification. National CCMA certification is required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
The medical assistant participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered environment with an emphasis on the prevention of disease; preparation of the patient for examination and/Or procedures; administers medications under direction of provider; performs in office lab procedures and phlebotomy on pediatric and adult patients; sterilizes instruments and ensure compliance with osha regulations. This will include actively participating in and supporting quality improvement activities and the clinical practice teams with these efforts.
