The Mental Health Technician provides emotional support and continuity of care for adults in a residential facility. They are responsible for implementing Individual Service Plans and maintaining house rules and policies.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid Wisconsin Driver's License. Candidates must obtain certifications in medication administration, CPR, First Aid, and CBRF Fire Safety.
Education: Required: High school diploma/GED Experience: Required: None Preferred: CBRF training and experience working with chronically mentally ill individuals. Skills and Competencies: A valid Wisconsin Driver's License with acceptable driving record is required. Ability to work with a diverse population in ways that are accepting, culturally competent, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering. Respect for individuals of diverse socio-economic status, race, and ethnicity. Ability to manage a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call as needed.
