The Residential Counselor provides active treatment and support to adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and facilitating social and recreational programs.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is also required for this position.
Responsible for the direct provision of active treatment to the clients including training and assistance in all areas addressed in the individual program plans of the clients to whom she/he is assigned. Teach and provide the support necessary for the individual’s use of community resources. Assist clients with daily living activities including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, feeding & housekeeping. Assist clients in all areas of social and recreational program activities for the day.
