The Polysomnographic Technologist performs sleep studies on infants and children, including equipment setup and calibration. They are also responsible for scoring studies and processing documentation to provide accurate information to physicians.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of direct patient care experience in sleep disorders, EEG, or respiratory therapy. A license through the Medical Board of California and certifications such as RPSGT, BLS, and PEARS are required.
