The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging examinations and ensures equipment is in optimal operating order while adhering to safety protocols. They also assist with phlebotomy services and perform CLIA waived laboratory tests to support patient care.
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in diagnostic radiography or a related field and possess ARRT certification. At least one year of experience in X-ray imaging or clinical rotations is required, along with a valid driver's license.
Education Associate's Degree in diagnostic radiography or related field or may be substituted with relevant education and experience Experience One (1) years' experience performing x-ray images or obtained in clinical rotations through required education Preferred Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities License/Certification Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) Radiology Technologist certification required (ARRT) American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) membership or equivalent for continuing education Must have a valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy, or obtain within 90 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or able to obtain within three (3) months of hire Special Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, or obtain training within 90 days of hire Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, respectful and kind when dealing with un'ina, visitors, co-workers and others Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines In-depth knowledge of radiology protocols and imaging equipment Inventory management of radiology supplies to ensure adequate levels of inventory are maintained Knowledge and understanding of HIPPA and 42 CFR Knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages of patients throughout the continuum of life as they relate to the collection of specimens Aware of pre-analytic and analytic factors that influence laboratory test results Ability to work and communicate in a professional manner that promotes a harmonious work environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail Listen and respond to constructive criticism in a productive manner This position is a Covered Position subject to all requirements of the Alaska Barrier Crimes Act (ABCA) and to the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, (ICPA). ABCA and ICPA requirements apply and must be complied with at all times in order to remain in the position.
