The Nurse Technician provides fundamental nursing care, including personal and restorative support, to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They perform duties according to established plans of care and hospital policies while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an NLN-accredited School of Nursing and maintain BCLS certification. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the completion of de-escalation training within 90 days.

Job Description: Summary
Position Overview: The Nurse Technician provides fundamentals of nursing care (i.e. personal and restorative care) to patients according to predefined guidelines, a plan of care established by a Registered Nurse, and under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse staff. Duties for this position will reflect the semester completed within the NLN. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.
