The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood draws, including venipuncture, heel sticks, and finger pokes, while ensuring accurate patient identification and order verification. They also manage laboratory documentation, including pathology reports, histology charges, and the preparation of specimens for testing.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. While phlebotomy training and DOT breathalyzer certification are preferred, the employer provides on-the-job training for candidates without prior experience.
