The Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation treatments to cancer patients and performs necessary quality assurance checks on equipment. They also fabricate custom shielding blocks and supervise student clinical rotations while maintaining supportive communication with patients and families.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved radiation therapy or radiologic technology program. They are required to be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and licensed by the State of Texas.
Graduate of an approved school of radiation therapy technology or a school of radiologic technology and a one year radiation therapy program. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and licensed by the State of Texas.
