The CNA/RMA provides routine nursing care, assists with daily living activities, and administers medications under the supervision of nursing staff. They are responsible for maintaining a therapeutic environment, monitoring resident health, and documenting care provided.
Candidates must hold a current Virginia CNA license, a current Virginia RMA license, and CPR/First Aid certification. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)/Registered Medication Aides (RMAs) provide a variety of selected routine nursing care tasks under the direction and supervision of the nurses responsible for providing direct resident care and will administer medications to residents in accordance to WCBR policy and procedures. Accountabilities include assisting in the examination, treatment, and care of residents; provide privacy and assistance as appropriate in maintaining the resident’s dignity. In many instances, CNAs may spend more time with residents than anyone else on the health care team and therefore should provide a supportive, safe, home-like environment. For this reason, they can easily form lasting connections with residents and families and require individuals who are compassionate, empathetic and truly interested in helping others.
The starting rate is between $21.63 and $23.99 per hour and will be determined based on years of relevant experience. We also have shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
