The therapist provides respiratory care to stabilize and treat patient respiratory problems by operating specialized gas and aerosol equipment. They are also responsible for performing diagnostic tests, analyzing ABGs, and documenting patient data in medical charts.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved A.M.A. school for Respiratory Therapy and hold a valid certification and New Jersey state license. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families across all age groups.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
More than 150,000 patients are treated each year at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center. Leading edge clinical services include orthopedics, spine, and sports medicine; cardiology/cardiothoracic services including a diagnostic cardiac catheterization laboratory performing peripheral angiograms and stenting, carotid stenting and pacemaker implants; non-invasive cardiology services including Holter monitoring, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography and trans-esophageal echocardiography; the Acute Rehabilitation Unit providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services such as those of the North Jersey Swallowing Center; the John Victor Machuga Diabetes Education Center, offering comprehensive education and consultation programs; and expanded Ambulatory Care Center; as well as liver, biliary, and pancreatic consultation services.
