The Associate Dentist is responsible for diagnosing and treating various dental conditions while developing tailored treatment plans for patients. They must collaborate with the dental team and specialists to ensure high-quality, comprehensive oral healthcare.
Candidates must hold a DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school. While previous general dentistry experience is preferred, strong clinical skills and professional ethical conduct are required.
Overview As an Associate General Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to patients while contributing to the overall success of the dental practice. This position requires a strong commitment to patient satisfaction, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Diagnose and treat various dental conditions, including but not limited to cavities, gum disease, and oral infections. Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive treatments. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Interpret diagnostic images (X-rays) to assess oral health and identify issues. Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care. Collaborate with specialists for complex cases and referrals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and clinical notes. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Stay abreast of advancements in dentistry and continuously update clinical knowledge. Participate in continuing education programs to enhance skills and maintain licensure. Effectively communicate treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care instructions to patients. Address patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and compassionate manner. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and ethical conduct.
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school. Previous experience working in a general dentistry practice is preferred but not mandatory. Strong clinical skills in general dentistry procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing quality patient care. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to contribute to the success of the practice.
